LLGA RULES & BYLAWS (revised Oct. 2008)

STANDING  RULES (Revised as of October 2008)

MEMBERSHIP:

18 Hole Regular - yearly fees are $115.00 (which includes $30 WSCGA membership dues). Members joining between March l and May 31 pay prorated dues of $71.00. No refund will be given for a change of status after January 31st. (Revised 5/30/03)

9 Hole Regular - yearly fees are $85.00 (which includes $30 WSCGA membership dues). Members joining between March l and May 31 pay prorated dues of $55.00. (added 5/10/99, Modified 4/29/08)

Associate - yearly fees are $40.00 (which covers $30 WSCGA Handicapping and a $10.00 processing fee. (added 6/01/01) This includes Lakes Country Club member’s unmarried daughters between 18 and 25 years of age attending school  Full time. (added   5/03/04)

Junior Associate - yearly fees are $15.00 for unmarried daughters under 18 years of age, (which includes $10 Handicapping fee and $5.00 processing fee). (added- 5/11/98)  Special - yearly fees are $25.00.

All memberships are charged to the member’s account on May 31 and are delinquent on June 30. (Revised 5/30/03) A member can pay dues to be an 18 Hole Regular Member or a 9 Hole Regular Member but cannot be both.

A 9 Hole Member or an Associate Member may become an 18 Hole Regular Member by paying the difference in the fees and fulfilling the LLGA By-laws and Standing Rule requirements for 18 holes of play.

NEW MEMBER:

A person joining the LLGA between June 1 and May 31 of the year of membership activation.

MAJOR TOURNAMENTS:  Are defined as the Club Championship (stroke play) and the President’s Cup (match play). A woman must be an 18 hole regular member in good standing in The Lakes Ladies Golf Association and have an established WSCGA/USGA handicap. A new member must record a minimum of 10 games, played with and attested by another LLGA member from her membership activation date and within the last six months to be eligible for the major tournaments. OTHER MAJOR EVENTS:  Are defined as the Member-Member Tournament, Desert Reflections, Guest Days and Home and Home Tournaments. To be eligible for these events, an LLGA member must have an established WSCGA/USGA handicap.

REGULAR MEMBER EVENTS:  Are defined as Ladies Days, Ringers, Low Net of the Month, Birdie Tree, Hole-in-One Club, Team and Most Improved Golfer. To be eligible for these events, an LLGA member must have an established WSCGA/USGA handicap and must play to 36 handicap (5-1-01). (Revised 5/1/01)

MIXER EVENTS:  Are defined as the Turkey Shoot, Holiday Mixer, and monthly mixers. To be eligible for mixer events, an LLGA member must have an established WSCGA/USGA handicap or have recorded a minimum of 10 rounds of golf for a provisional handicap assigned by The Pro Shop. Mixers will have a $15.00 fee plus the cost of lunch.

TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITY:  Associate and Junior Associate members are ineligible to compete in any LLGA tournament or event unless so specified for special events. (Revised 5/03/04)

TOURNAMENTS/EVENTS:  All funds collected or allocated to an LLGA Tournament or Mixer must be spent on that event only, any remaining funds to be kept in the LLGA account (Added 5/05/08)

SLOW PLAY:  If a group falls a hole behind, they will be warned by a ranger. If a second warning is given, it will be a penalty of two strokes for the foursome. A golf professional will assess the penalty. If the group is still playing slowly, the group will be disqualified.(Adopted 4/5/94)

HOLE-IN-ONE-INSURANCE:   All Lakes Ladies Golf Association members are eligible to join the Hole-In-One Insurance Fund by signing up with the Hole-In-One Chairman or on the membership application form when first joining. A fee of $3.00 will be charged to the member’s account. Thereafter, the billing will be automatic after every Hole-In-One. All insured members are entitled to one free drink within 7 days after the Hole-In-One is scored.

The scorecard must be attested by a USGA Handicapped Golfer. The member having the Hole-In-One is responsible for notifying the Pro Shop and the LLGA Hole-In-One Chairman. At the end of the fiscal year (May 31) the money, minus thebar bill and trophy charge will be divided by all who had a Hole-In-One that year.(Revised 6/21/90, 5/3/94, 2/2/99).

LADIES EVENT FEE:  The Tuesday $2.00 entry fee will be billed to your club account. Winners will receive credit in the Pro Shop. Winners will be posted in the lower lobby. (Revised 5/11/98)

SPECIAL EVENT DAYS:  Rally for the Cure: One day each year is designated Rally for the Cure day. The funds collected help support breast cancer research. You may participate in the golf day event or donate by check.

WSCGA Junior Scholarship Fund:   One day each year is designated WSCGA Junior Scholarship Fund day. You may participate in the golf day event or donate by check.

POSTING OF ALL SCORES:  Adjusted gross scores on all courses, at home and away, shall be reported by the player, along with the appropriate USGA Course Rating, and if applicable, USGA Slope Ratings.

Away scores made in any state or foreign country are to be reported for handicap purposes. Tournament scoring shall be used for all major tournaments and all major events.

The Handicap Chairman or Committee shall ensure that all acceptable scores are reported for handicap purposes. (Per: USGA Handicap System, Section 3-3) If a player belongs to more than one club, she may either: (a) register as a multi-member with the computer center, so that all scores at every club will enter into her handicap computation or (b) return all scores to all her clubs, together with Course and Slope Ratings and dates.

Either of these methods will result in the same USGA handicap index at every club unless there are different revision dates. If a player should have different handicaps at different clubs because of different revision dates, she shall use her lowest USGA handicap index when competing with players from more than one club. WHEN MAKING A TEE TIME FOR A FOURSOME:  Ladies may reserve a tee time for a foursome on Ladies’ Day by providing the starter with the names of all four players at the time the reservation is made. (Revised 3/3/98 and 1/14/02)

LLGA BOARD EVENT ENTRY POLICY:  Standing Board Members: Chairman, Vice Chairman, Communications, Handicap, Membership, Rules, Tournament Chairmen, the Treasurer, Secretary, Parliamentarian and Niner’s Chairman shall be able to play in all events as long as their entry forms are turned in on time. (Added 4/16/07)

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Cancellation forms are located in the LLGA Roster and must be delivered to the Pro Shop to be dated, timed and initialed by the accepting Golf Pro. That date, time and Pro’s initial is to be marked on the appropriate Roster page simultaneously. NO REFUND will be given after the NO REFUND date listed on the event page.

CHANGES:   Any Standing Rule may be adopted, amended or suspended at regular or special meetings of the Board of Directors by 2/3 vote of the members of the Board. (Adopted 3/3/88)

LLGA TEAMS

FALL TEAM:

The conduct of team competition shall be in accordance with the instructions of the “Century League” (Revised 5/30/03) and under the direction of the Team Captain(s).

Team Captain(s) will be elected by the active team players within two weeks after completion of team play. All team play qualifying procedures and captain selection shall be submitted and approved by the LLGA Board of Directors. Play dates shall be submitted and approved by the Golf Committee. (Approved by Golf Committee 12/12/07) (Revised 4/2008)

Team captains to receive a “Lakes” medallion for first year of service(Revised 4/16/07). Upon re-election by the team, a stone (sapphire like) will be put in their medallion for each succeeding year as Captain. If she has been awarded a Lakes Ladies Golf Association medallion, and she desires, she may have a “sapphire like” stone mounted on the medallion instead. Location will be in compliance with the instructions of the medallion chairman (2-11-02).

SPRING TEAM:

The conduct of team competition shall be in accordance with the instructions of the Women’s Desert Spring Team Play and under the direction of the Team Captain(s). Team

Captain(s) will be elected by the active team members prior to completion of team play (added 6/97). All team play qualifying procedures and captain selection shall be submitted and approved by the LLGA Board of Directors.  Play dates shall be submitted and approved by the Golf Committee. AWARDS:

The following awards will only be given if earned on LLGA Official Play Days, which are, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Breakthroughs, Birdies, Ringers, Monthly Low Net and Summer Low Net.

Most improved Golf of the Month and Year are determined by handicap method of the USGA.

BREAKTHROUGHS:  Break-throughs shall be allowed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only, on any tee if a player is with an LLGA member. Breakthrough pins will be awarded to those members who breakthrough scores of 100, 90, 80 and 70. (Revised 4/16/07)

MOST IMPROVED GOLFER OF THE MONTH:   The most improved golfer of the month will be awarded a $25.00 gift certificate to our pro shop. Eligibility will be from November 1 through April 1, of each month.

MOST IMPROVED GOLFER OF THE SEASON:   A Most Improved Golfer of the Season Award will be presented at the May General Meeting. The recipient of this award shall be determined by the Handicap Chairman by comparing the May handicap to the previous May handicap based on a method approved by USGA. To be eligible for this award, the recipient must be an active member in the

LLGA and have posted twenty home scores, ten of which must be played with, and attested by another LLGA member. (Revised 1/4/89, 4/12/90, 4/7/96) She will receive a $100.00 gift certificate to our pro shop and have her name and picture on a plaque in the locker room.

MONTHLY LOW NET:  Low Net is your total score less your full handicap. To qualify for Monthly Low Net you must play from the Silver Tees. Low Net score cards must be dated and must be attested by another LLGA member. The award will be announced at the monthly General Meeting and published in the newsletter. (Revised 7/2/91) Members may participate in this event on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only during the months of November through May. (Revised 5/30/03, 5/30/04, 4/16/07). This event is paid out of your LLGA dues. (Added 5/14/90)

SUMMER LOW NET:  One low net prize will be given for the summer months if earned on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. (Revised on 4/16/07)

BIRDIE TREE:  The Birdie Tree is for recognition purposes only. The Birdie Tree is open to all LLGA members Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only. (Added 3/3/90, Revised 5/8/00, 1/14/02, 4/16/07) To qualify, circle the birdie on your scorecard and enter the date, your name and the hole number into the Birdie Book located on the Bulletin Board in the Ladies Locker Room. You must have a playing partner attest your entry.

RINGERS:  Ringers are separated into (2) periods: Fall: November, December and January.   Spring: February, March and April.  The Fall & Spring Ringers are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Awards are presented at the February and May General Meeting. You must play eighteen (18) holes with another LLGA member and have your scorecard dated, signed and attested with gross score. FIRST and LAST NAMES must be on the scorecard. Circle your Ringer card and scorecard to validate your improved Ringer holes. NO mulligans may be used. (Added 2/4/97) All Ringer Tournaments are played from the Silver Tees. Ringer Days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only. (Revised 4/16/07) Guest Days, Home and Home Events and President’s Cup (Match Play) are NOT INCLUDED as Ringer Days. If you play the same nine twiceon a specified Ringer Day with another LLGA member you are permitted to post Ringers. (Added 2/4/97) The event is paid out of your LLGA dues. (Added 5/14/90) There will be three flights paying 1st - $50.00 and 2nd - $25.00 for each flight. ( Revised 5/10/01)

MEDALLIONS:   Medallions are trophies of the Lakes Ladies Golf Association. They may not be altered in any way. Every award must be verified by the current LLGA Tournament Chairman.

PRESIDENT’S CUP:  The President’s Cup winner receives a large open medallion with a gold rope bezel. A repeat President’s Cup winner receives a .15 diamond. If the winner has a large open medallion — she receives a gold rope bezel and a .15 diamond. If the winner has a small open medallion — she receives a large open medallion with a gold rope bezel and (a .05 diamond in exchange for her small open medallion, if she desires)  Each flight winner receives a large open medallion.  If the winner has a large open medallion — she receives a .10 diamond. If the winner has a small open medallion she receives a large open medallion and (a .05 diamond in exchange for her small open medallion, if she desires) Runners-Ups — each receives a small open medallion. If runner-up has a small open medallion she receives a .05 diamond. Added 4/10/06.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:  Club Champion — receives a large solid gold medallion. If the winner has the Club Championship medallion — she receives a .15 diamond.  Club Champion Runner Up — receives a large open medallion. If runner-up has a large open medallion — she receives a .10 diamond.  All other flights winners — receives a large open medallion. If winner has a large open medallion --- she receives a .10 diamond.  Other flight’s Runners-up — each receives a small open medallion. If runner-up has a small open medallion she receives a .05 diamond.  1st low net winner in each flight, including championship flight, receives a small open medallion. if 1st low net winner has a small open medallion she receives a .05 diamond.

DIAMONDS:  When diamonds are won, they are to be placed, first in the tree branches. When that area is filled, then they are to placed in the water. No diamonds are to be set on the outer circle, unless all the area in the tree branches and in the water has been filled, *** Diamonds are to be set as per LLGA specifications. Tiffany setting is optional. No additional diamonds may be purchased to enhance the medallion.

ALTERATIONS:   If a small medallion has been altered, not LLGA approved, it may not be exchanged. (Revised 3/14/08)

ENGRAVING:   it is recommended that a winner has her initials engraved on the back of her medallion. The nominal cost is at owner’s expense.

ADDITIONS TO MEDALLIONS:   No additions may be made to the medallion. (Revised 4/1/97, 5/11/98)

 

BYLAWS (Revised as of October 2008)

ARTICLE 1

Name:  The name of this organization shall be “The Lakes Ladies Golf Association”.

ARTICLE 11

Purpose:  The purpose of this organization shall be:

First:  To promote the advancement of golf and good sportsmanship through Ladies Day Play, Team Play, Tournaments and Social Activities.

Second:  To enforce uniformity in the Rules of Golf in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the United States Golf Association.

Third:   To maintain a recognized system of Handicapping.

Fourth:  To conduct meetings, formulate rules and regulations deemed necessary, and act as a group for discussion of matters pertaining to maintaining high golf and social standards.

ARTICLE  111

Membership:  Those eligible for membership in this organization shall be female golf members of The Lakes Country Club and their unmarried daughters, 18 years of age, and under 25. All Regular and Special members of the Lakes Ladies Golf Association are entitled to vote. (Revised 4/13/93, 6/15/98)

Section 1: There shall be three categories of membership: Regular, Special and Associate. (Revised 4/13/93, 11/21/91, 6/01/92)

Section 2: Regular members are eligible to participate in all events and receive all benefits. (Revised 4/20/92). (See Article XIII, Section 2 Standing Rules and Lakes Niners for clarification)

Section 3: Special members are those in good standing who are incapacitated for over a year and can no longer play golf. The Board of Directors determines who qualifies for this membership and sets an annual fee.(Added 1/18/91, Revised 4/20/92)

Section 4: Associate Members are those desiring ONLY to establish a handicap at the Lakes Country Club. They will pay an annual handicapping fee which will include membership in WSCGA and a bookkeeping fee. They are NOT eligible to play in any LLGA tournaments or events. They have NO voting rights. This includes Junior Associate members (unmarried daughters under 18). (Revised 12/15/94, 6/15/98).

ARTICLE  IV

Board of Directors:  Section 1:(a) This Association shall function with duly elected officers, appointed chairmen, and committees necessary for the proper performance of a well organized group, in accordance with “Robert’s Rules of Order Revised”, The Lakes Country Club Golf Rules and the USGA Golf Handicap System. Section 1: (c) The appointed officers of the Association shall be:

1.  Niner’s Chairman (Added 4/13/1995)

2 . Parliamentarian/Advisor (Past Chairman)

The elected and appointed officers of this Association shall compose the Board of

Directors:  Each Position shall be entitled to one vote except the Parliamentarian/Advisor who shall be an ex-officio member of the Board and the Lakes Niners Chairman. All officers shall be elected for a term of one year. No elected or appointed officer shall hold the same office for more than two consecutive terms. Committee chairmen shall be appointed by the General Chairmen. Committee members are not required to attend Board meetings unless specifically requested to do so. (Revised 4/6/88, 5/10/90, 4/13/95 & 2/19/99)

Section 2. The Board of Directors of this Association shall meet at least six(6) times a year, on a day and time specified by the General Chairman.  Special Board Meetings may be called by the General Chairman or three (3) other Board Members when necessary. (Revised 11/13/86)

Section 3. The Board of Directors shall fill, by appointment, any vacancy occurring in any of the offices of this Association.

Section 4. Two-thirds of the members of the Board of Directors shall constitute a quorum.

ARTICLE V

Duties of Officers

Section 1. The General Chairman shall preside at all meetings of this Association and the Board of Directors; appoint annually all committees not otherwise provided for in these By-laws, and all special committees; be an ex-officio member of all committees, except the Nominating Committee, and perform such other duties as usually devolve upon a General Chairman not herein otherwise provided. She will represent the LLGA as a voting member of the Golf Committee of The Lakes Country Club. She shall have at least one year of experience on the Board to be eligible for the office of General Chairman. (Added 5/03/04)

The General Chairman shall appoint an auditing committee to review the Association’s financial records. Annually, the auditor will review the LLGA financial statements back to the source documents to verify accuracy. The report of the auditing committee shall beposted for a period of one month. (Added 5/03/04)

Section 2. The Vice-Chairman shall perform the duties of the General Chairman in her absence. If the Office of the General Chairman is vacated, she shall assume that office until the next general election. She shall be the Liaison Officer to WSCGA. (Revised 4/6/88). She will edit the LLGA Roster each year.

Section 3. The Communications Chairman shall be responsible for all member communications, including the LLGA Newsletter, the LLGA website, Channel 77 announcements, Lakes Country Club newsletter and the locker room bulletin board.

Section 4. The Handicap Chairman shall attend a WSCGA Handicap seminar and be responsible for checking all score cards as to tee played, full names of players, WSCGA numbers, correct total scores, signed, attested and dated. She may appoint one or more assistants as needed.

Section 5. The Membership Chairman shall promote and encourage membership in the LLGA. She will keep an accurate record of the names, addresses and telephone numbers of the membership. The Membership Chair-man shall be responsible for the Welcome Back Party as well as New Member Coffees and the Big Sister Program, ensuring that all new members are familiar with local rules, speed of play requirements and posting of scores. Section 6. The Rules Chairman shall enforce the rules of golf adopted by the USGA with such local rules of the course, and such special rules as are approved by the Board of Directors. The Rules Chairman is responsible for Tournament Rules and rule decisions intournaments, and the education of the membership in rules. She is the liaison with The Lakes Country Club Rules Committee in establishing and changing local rules.

Section 7. The Secretary is the recording officer of this Association and custodian of its records, except those specifically assigned to others. The duties of the Secretary are: To take and transcribe the minutes of all meetings of this Association and of the

Board of Directors. The Board of Directors minutes to be distributed to Board Members within one week. To post the minutes of the General Meeting within the following week. (Revised 1/18/91) To keep all records as outlined in “Robert’s Rules of Order Revised,” carry on routine correspondence of the Association, under the direction of the LLGA Board of Directors and perform such other duties as may be requested.

Section 8. The Tournament Chairman shall have charge of all tournaments, subject to the rulings of the LLGA Board and The Lakes Golf Committee, except team matches. She shall appoint a Chairman for each event. It shall be her duty to acquaint them with correct tournament procedure. She and her committee members shall have the power to determine the eligibility of players as well as conducting the events. The event calendar shall be submitted to and approved by the Golf Committee and the golf professional staff. The LLGA shall schedule no more than 20 tournament days annually, including five guest days. The Tournament Chairman shall be responsible for the final accounting of all tournaments. Section 9. The Treasurer shall keep full and accurate accounts of all funds received and shall deposit the same in the name and to the credit of this Association in such depository as may be designated by the Board of Directors and shall disburse the same under their direction. She shall have all checks drawn on the funds of the association countersigned by one of the following members of the Board of Directors; General Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Membership Chairman or Tournament Chairman. She will post a copy of the monthly financial statement within the week following the monthly General Meeting and will provide a copy to the Golf Committee Chairman. (Revised 6/15/98)

Section 10. The Lakes Niners Chairman shall have direct charge of all activities of the Lakes Niners group, including competitions, subject to the rulings of the Board of Directors. The Lakes Niners Chairman shall prepare a schedule of events for the calendar year and present it to Board of Directors for its approval. She shall also be responsible for the final accounting of all Lakes Niners tournaments. The Lakes Niners Chairman shall appoint a committee as needed and a Chairman for events. It shall be the Lakes Niners Chairman’s duty to acquaint all of the Lakes Niners members with correct tournament procedure and work with the Rules Chairman to promote a better understanding of the rules. Section 11. The Parliamentarian/Advisor, who must have served as General Chairman, shall act as parliamentarian using “Robert’s Rules of Order Revised” as authority. She shall be responsible for keeping the necessary attendance count at the Board and General Meetings in order to determine the presence of a quorum. She shall conduct the February election of three (3) members to serve on the Nominating Committee, the April election and the May installation. (Revised 1/18/91, 6/15/98

ARTICLE V1

Dues

Section 1. Dues will be set by the Board of Directors with approval of the membership. (Revised 10/2/89 and 6/20/92)

Section 2. The dues of this Association shall be prorated, with a minimum established by the Board of Directors, for members applying March 1 or later of the Association’s Fiscal year. (Revised 5/13/93, 6/15/98)

Section 3. THE FISCAL YEAR AND CALENDAR YEAR of this Association for dues and activities shall be from June 1st through May 31st. (Revised 11/13/86, 1/18/91 and 6/20/92, 6/15/98)

ARTICLE V11

Meetings

There shall be a General Meeting of this Association on the third Thursday of each month, unless otherwise stated by the Board of Directors.

ARTICLE VIII

Quorum

One-fifth of the members, as determined from lists thereof maintained by the Membership Chairman of this Association, on the date of any meeting, shall constitute a quorum for the conduct of such meeting of the Association.  (Revised 11/13/86 and 1/18/91)

ARTICLE IX

Voting

A majority vote of the membership present shall be necessary to elect officers and to transact all other business brought before the regular membership. (Revised 11/13/86) Proxies: If a member is unable to attend a meeting she may vote by proxy. All proxies shall be in writing and filed with the Secretary. Every proxy shall be revocable. (added 12/15/94)

ARTICLE X

Nominations

Section 1.  The Nominating Committee shall be composed of the following: The General  Chairman shall appoint a member (not a current Board Member) to be a member of the Nominating Committee. The Board of Directors shall elect one member (not a current Board Member) at their January Board Meeting. (Revised 1/18/91, 12/15/94)  At the February General Meeting the members shall elect three (3) members from the general membership (not current Board Members). (Revised 1/18/91, 6/15/98) Any vacancies occurring in the committee shall be filled by appointment by the General Chairman. No member shall be eligible to serve on the Nominating Committee for a second consecutive term. The Nominating Committee shall elect its own Chairman. (Added 12/15/94)

No Nominating Committee member may be nominated for a seat on the Board of Directors as is accepted practice of Nominating Committees.  Any member of the Nominating Committee wanting to be considered on the proposed Slate of Officers for the coming year must first resign from the Nominating Committee (Added 4/10/2008)

Section 2.  The Chairman of the Nominating Committee shall present the proposed slate of officers at the General Meeting in March. This slate of names will be posted prior to the election in April. (Revised 1/18/91)   Further nominations for the Board of Directors may be made in writing, signed by any three members, to the Chairman of the Nominating Committee within the fifteen (15) day posting time. The nomination must include a written consent to serve. (Revised 4/06/88)

Section 3.  The Nominating Committee is an independent committee. (Revised 11/13/91)

ARTICLE X1

Elections

An election shall be held at the General Meeting in April, at which time the Chairman of the Nominating Committee shall again present the proposed slate of officers, including any names received in writing within the fifteen (15) day posting time. In the event that there is more than one person running for office, voting shall take place by written ballot. A member unable to attend the General Meeting in April, may request an absentee ballot or proxy from the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee shall have charge of the ballots and proxies. (Revised 1/18/91, 12/15/94) If there is a single name slate of officers vote shall be via voc. The installation of officers shall be in May. The outgoing Board of Directors and the incoming Board of Directors shall meet prior to changing office. The new Officers will take office on 1 June. (Revised 11/13/86, 5/14/92)

ARTICLE X11

Amendments

The Association Officers shall review the Bylaws annually. Revisions to the Bylaws and Standing Rules shall be submitted to and approved by the Golf Committee of the Lakes Country Club prior to implementation. These Bylaws may be amended

at any General Meeting of this Association by a two-thirds affirmative vote of the membership present, provided written notice of the proposed amendments is presented at least two weeks prior to voting, and a quorum is present. At the discretion of the Board of Directors, suggested By-laws Amendments may be mailed to the membership to be voted by written ballot. In this event, a majority affirmative vote of the total membership shall be required for passage. (Added 4/6/88)

ARTICLE X111

Activities

Section 1. Ladies Day shall be every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday throughout the year, with the exception of major holidays. The General Chairman plus one other Board member shall have the power to cancel or postpone the business or activity which normally would have been carried out. (Revised 4/16/07)

Section 2. A person must be a member in good standing of the Lakes Ladies Golf Association and have an established WSCGA/USGA handicap. New members shall record ten games played with and attested by another member of LLGA within the last six months to be eligible for major tournaments. (Revised 11/16/95)

Section 3. Other eligibility requirements shall be posted in the Standing Rules. (Added 4/6/88)

ARTICLE X1V

Guests

Section 1.  Invitational Guest Day shall be during the first week of each month, unless a specific event requires a change. Guests must have an established WSCGA, USGA or GHIN handicap.  

Section 2.  A nonresident guest may play a maximum of eight times in one golf season.

Section 3.  Lady golfing members of the Lakes Country Club who are not members of the LLGA are ineligible to play as guests in LLGA events. Non golfing lady members of the Lakes Country Club must be properly affiliated with another golf club to be eligible to play as guests.

Section 4.  Renters who are properly affiliated with another golf club, are eligible to play as guests in LLGA events. Revised 4/06/88, 2/19/99 and 5/03/04)

ARTICLE XV

Handicaps

The maximum handicaps allowed by WSCGA/USGA may be allowed for any Daily or Major Tournament. Provisional Handicaps are acceptable for Daily Tournaments only. In order to play in any Major Tournament a player must have an established handicap by WSCGA/USGA, based on 20 rounds of golf. The Tournament Chairman, with approval of the Board of Directors, may impose handicap limitations on any tournament. (Revised 4/6/88 and 2/19/99)
